As our close friends and family our aware, I am happy to say my Step Dad Ste Woodward had a successful Kidney Transplant earlier in the year.

After 12 years of dialysis and 3 failed kidney transplants, he was deemed as untransplantable. Due to a medical break through and new innovative treatments his 4th attempt was successful. It was such a break though Ste featured on BBC News, various papers and medical journals.

The transplant has dramatically improved the quality of his life, my mum and Ste are going on to get married next year....... it truly is the fairy tale ending as they say.

We are so happy and thankful that he is home, well and fully recovered that I wanted to give something back.

I will be running the 10k reindeer fun for the Kidney Association. It’s a charity that’s helped our family and is close to our hearts so please dig deep! I am not promising a 'marathon' time but hope to do it in under an hour.
