St Cuthbert’s Hospice provides specialist care to people with life-limiting illnesses, people approaching the end of life and the bereaved. We make no charge for our services, ensuring Hospice care is available to everyone. It costs over £2 million each year to keep St Cuthbert's Hospice running.

Story

I am running on behalf of St Cuthbert's Hospice in memory of my fantastic father-in-law Bryan.  All of you who knew Bryan will remember what a truely special person he was.  He was loved by everyone who knew him thanks to his warm personality and great sense of humour.  After 5 brave years of fighting cancer, we lost Bryan to this awful disease on December 30th 2007, we miss him terribly and he will never be forgotton.   He spent his final days at St Cuthbert's Hospice, where he was so well looked after and the Hospice were wonderful in supporting my Mother-in-law Jean, my husband Peter, sister-in-law Dionne and her husband Neil and Bryan's grand children Alexander, Ethan, Lucas & Harvey (at the time known as Bump as Dionne was still pregnant!).  Please help support this essential local charity as they made such a difference to us during Bryan's final days.
