Story
On Saturday the 22nd March a group from the University of Leeds will be completing the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, which invovles climbing the highest three peaks in Yorkshire in under twelve hours. We are doing this in aid of SUDEP Action and are hoping to raise £150 each for this great cause.
Epilepsy is one of the top ten causes of early death, and SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy) is extremely distressing for the friends and family of the bereaved. It is also a subject which raises many questions amongst health professionals who are striving to better understand SUDEP.
All the money we raise will be going straight to SUDEP Action. Their main focuses are providing support, both practical and emotional, for those who have experienced SUDEP, and funding research into SUDEP, with the hope that in the future it will be possible to prevent deaths of this kind.
We will be fundraising for this cause in other ways in order to ensure we reach our target of £150 each, but any donations to help us get there would be greatly appreciated!
THANK YOU! x
