Fundraising for National Autistic Society
Story
Over the next 12 weeks I will be braving the cold, rain, snow and whatever else the dark London winter throws at me to train for the London Marathon and raise as much money as possible for the National Autistic Society!
Around 1 in 100 people fall in to the autism spectrum in the UK alone, and around 2.3 million people are affected by autism whether it be families or professionals caring for those effected.
Maybe, like me, you too know families effected by autism and would like to do something to support them?
The National Autistic society does just that by providing support and relief to families, through specialist schools, residential and day services, and much more. They aim to raise public awareness and understanding as well as influencing legislation. To do any of this, they rely on our kind donations.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: National Autistic Society gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
I and the National Autistic Society will be so grateful if you would spare some money; to keep me motivated during the 26.2 mile jog and most importantly support an amazing cause!
