For decades the people of southern Sudan have suffered due to war. Since a peace agreement signed in 2005, the south is beginning to rebuild itself but education, healthcare, and infrastructure are all limited. Today suffering continues, many still die of hunger and the fragile peace hangs by a thread. 

2010 is a crucial year for this nation, as they prepare to vote on their future in January 2011 - either remaining part of the north or to seceed.

We're running to raise awareness for Sudan and to ask people to remember this country in these next months.

MAF flights reach areas and people that would remain unreached. We want peace to hold, for the nation to be changed and for the world to remember the suffering and to act.
