To celebrate two big birthdays this year, Anthony's 60th and Emily's 21st we are all going to climb Mt Kilimanjaro.
This may sound quite normal to some or very extreme and completely crazy to others ...the latter is more in Empy's thoughts. We are all trying to get as fit as possible.... every weekend Empy is frog marched up hills for a walk that is at least 4 hours long.... in training .This is just a start , for the climb at the beginning of September.
We have chosen Butterwick Hospice in Bishop Auckland to benefit from all those hours and days of walking. Empy has been involved in fund raising in some capacity for this hospice for the last 15 years. They do a fantastic job in the local community and we are keen that all the money we raise will specifically be used within the Bishop Auckland area.
