In order to raise the profile of and a bit of dolla' for the amazing work that DFs do around Britain; engaging, inspiring and educating young people, fighting for change, promoting peace and democracy and pracitising cooperation and sustainability.

I've decided to (try!) and pay everyone a visit this Summer, by cycling from Land's End to John O Groats via as many DF and/or venturer groups as possible. I hope to find out who they are, how they work and what makes each one tick, creating a picture of DFs in 2010...

On the way of course, I'm going to have an amazing fun time seeing different parts of the country and hopefully meeting some fab people along the way. I'll be starting early August, pausing for V-camp week in Derby then setting off again for more northern climes...
