Four years ago just for fun we painted our house with a red cross to support England in the World Cup, thinking they would actually win it!

Recently the question as to whether the paint brushes would be coming out again started to be asked.  Stupildly I said that if 50 people thought it was a good idea I would.  Along came Mike Reddan and set up a very sucessful facebook campaign to make it happen; including breaking the news to Jodie that the house was to be painted again (maybe with a few extras this time).  It was then posed that maybe we could support a charity and England at the same time (also easing the shock to Jodie).   

The charity was easily chosen as dear friends of ours have recently raised substantial money for a place close to their hearts, Gloucester Royal Special Baby Care Unit, by riding from Lands End to John O'Groats last year.  Since our last paint job they have needed the support of the unit twice after the birth of their 2 gorgeous sons; sadly their second, Jaime passed away.  In memory of Jaime and in our support of them, their son Ollie and their beautiful daughter Jessica (only weeks old) we chose this very worthwhile cause, it is the least we can do.

So all of you that backed the campaign and anyone who likes this idea please donate (even a little, with over 400 members even a £1 each will make a huge difference).
