Story

On Thursday 16th April 2009 five young men from Teesside will be cycling from the the Irish Sea to the North Sea over the course of three days.

After the success of last year’s West Highland Way Ramble (which raised over £3000 for Butterwick Hospice) Martin Lee, Peter Morron, Chris Abberton, Peter Lauwers & Craig Simpson have decided to continue the annual challenge and this year have got on their bikes to tackle the Coast to Coast ride from Whitehaven to Sunderland.

This will be a tough 135 miles with large climbs across the Pennines but will go some way to support the exceptional work performed by Butterwick Hospice, having cared for Martin’s grandfather, Eric Lee, in 2008.

Any donation to the group would be greatly appreciated and will assist an organisation which supports 200 patients and their families from across the North East everyday.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Butterwick Hospice Care gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
