Please sponsor me as I run the Great North Run in Newcastle on Sunday 19 September.  I am raising money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer and am trying to raise £350, so any support would be really appreciated.  It's a great cause and I have set out some info about the charity below.

 - Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the UK, with nearly 46,000 new cases diagnosed each year.

 - Breakthrough Breast Cancer is the leading UK charity committed to breast cancer research, campaigning and educating.  It has established the UK's first dedicated breast cancer research centre, the Toby Robins Breast Cancer Research Centre, in partnership with The Institute of Cancer Research.  The money raised by supporters taking part in the Great North Run will help scientists at the Breakthrough Research Centre to continue to work in a co-ordinated effort to find new ways to prevent diagnose and treat breast cancer.

 - Breakthrough also campaigns to keep breast cancer at the top of the public and political agendas, promoting education and awareness of the issue among the public, policy makers, health professionals and media.
