The COINS Foundation has committed to rebuilding 50 homes in Haiti with monies raised by the Construction and Service Industry primarily through the COINS 3 Peaks Challenge.
As we all know a massive earthquake wreaked havoc throughout the nation of Haiti, damaging countless homes. An estimated 3 million people are dead, injured or made homeless in the chaos of the capital Port-au-Prince and surrounding areas. In parallel to the emergency relief response COINS Foundation in partnership with Habitat for Humanity will support the longer-term, marathon reconstruction effort that will be required to rebuild and transform Haiti, the sustainable development required when world's attention is no longer focused on Haiti.
On 8th & 9th May 2010 Explore Living will be taking part in this Challenge which involves climbing Ben Nevis (1,344m), moving on to Scafell Pike (978m) and ending with Snowdon (1,085m).
The event is over a 24 hour period with approximately 14 hours on the hills and 10 hours driving and the Team needs your encouragement and support for this demanding challenge. Please help them by donating towards their target of £5,000 - every little helps!
The Explore Living team comprises of Neil Jefferson, Andy Butler, Nick Trollope, Ryan Solomon, David Bean, Mark and Lorraine Tomlinson.
