As many of you know I have lost too many dear friends to breast cancer and know many others who have this disease and other cancers and have been through my own cancer battle , so finally this is my chance to give back.

I have always watched the marathon and thought the participants were mad and questioned why anyone would want to do it ,however, after having cancer I suddenly had a real desire to do it- maybe to prove to myself that I can do anything that I want and have a sense of  achievement because I feel so blessed to still be alive.

I am a sprinter not an endurance runner so 26 metres is more to my liking- how I will do 26 miles I don't know but to raise money for this charity and think of my friends Cheryl and Gina I will get round even if I have to drag myself over that finishing line.

I first decided I wanted to do the Marathon in 2007 but a slipped disc , hyperthyroidism , thyroid surgery and corrective surgery following my cancer op have all stopped me --But nothings going to stop me now 2010 is my year so please please help me to get round those 26.2 miles by sponsoring me so I will know its all worth it !!
