Story
Who would have thought that I would be running 26.2 miles (the 0.2 makes a difference!) in 2007- a thought that is beginning to make me feel slightly wobbly as April 22nd looms ever closer!!
For motivation I have chosen to raise the required £1,500 for a charity which means a great deal to the people close to me when a family friend suffered a personal tragedy with the devastating loss of their eldest son, aged 20, after an epileptic seizure, and I have further learnt that epilepsy is more common than I ever imagined, affecting one of out every 131 people throughout their lifetime. Since 1892 the National Society for Epilepsy has been striving to enhance the quality of life of people affected by epilepsy, by promoting research, education and public awareness and by delivering specialist medical care and support services.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me and thereby the National Society for Epilepsy. They will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no extra cost to you.
So please sponsor me now and make me feel proud of wearing the NSE's rather bright orange and attractive vest - you won’t be able to miss me staggering around the streets of
London come rain or shine!
Thank you in anticipation,
