Story
Firewalk took place (at last!) on Saturday 19th Feb at the Salisbury Centre in Edinburgh.
It was hot hot hot!!! Feet were stinging afterwards but thankfully no blisters or burns!!!
Photos and video will be posted shortly...thanks to all who have supported me in raising funds for Macmillan.
A firewalk? Really???
Absolutely!!
Especially if it's to raise funds for Macmillan, Fenwick Consulting's charity for 2010!
After a number of cancelled events which led to a walk on broken glass instead on the evening of Friday 19th November, we now have a new date - Sat 19th Feb (weather permitting and fourth time lucky!!) After preparation, I'll be attempting a 12 foot walk over 1200 degree hot embers!
So, you're thinking....
It can't be that hot? It is! Molten metal is poured at 1,100 degrees farenheit - we're doing 1200 degrees!
It can't be a real fire? It is! Come along and see for yourself - just email me for details of venue and I can get you on my guest list.
You must be hypnotised? Nope - we're not hypnotised in anyway - we choose to walk and take part in a seminar beforehand that will put us in a peak state for walking.
Is it not really risky? Yes, it carries an inherent risk, like everything in life, so please dig deep into your pockets!
So please, please help me raise as much as we can for Macmillan!
