Story

A group of 50 of us from Historic Royal Palaces are taking on the challenge of walking 22 miles from Hampton Court Palace to the Tower of London via the three other Palaces in our care (Kew Palace, Kensington Palace and the Banqueting House in Whitehall) to raise money for a new cancer unit at our local hospital, Kingston Hospital.  Although the capital project is fully funded, money is needed for equipment.

None of us wish to be ill but all of us know of friends and family who have had to struggle with illness.  Our goal is to raise at least £10,000 to enable the hospital to buy the most up to date equipment.  For example, a transfusion pump to deliver drugs costs £2000 while a state of the art CT scanner cost £1 million. This equipment will allow the hospital staff to diagnose and deliver treatments as efficiently and effectively as possible. Please support us on our walk to raise these much needed funds so that the hospital can be equipped as soon as possible and therefore save lives.
