Flight Centre’s charity of the year for 2011-2012 is Macmillan Cancer Support.

 

Each year Flight Centre UK nominates one charity to support. By focusing our fundraising activities in this way we believe we can raise enough money to truly make a difference.

 

Our charity of the year is chosen by our employees through a nomination and voting process, previous charities we have supported include Help for Heroes and the British Heart Foundation. This year we are supporting Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity close to many people’s hearts for the support they offer to people who have been affected by cancer.

 

Our target

We’re aiming higher than ever this year and need the support of our customers to reach our target – we’re looking to raise £75,000 by 30 June 2012!

 

Fundraising activities

From head office staff to travel consultants, everyone is getting involved. We’re holding in store events, raffles and prize draws, baking cakes and eating cakes, dressing up and dressing down, as well as donating money when our customers make a booking. It’s all about getting involved and having fun and we would love our customers to get involved with us.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
