Story
Florence was born on 1st April 2010 after a long and traumatic pregnancy. We were told at 21 weeks that Florence would not survive beyond 28 weeks due to a growth restriction and if she did survive there was a high risk that she would be severely handicapped.
We wanted to give Florence every opportunity of survival and endured many trips to and from St. Georges and St. Peter's for monitoring scans and as the weeks progressed Florence continued to slowly grow.
Florence was eventually delivered at a weight of 4lbs 13ozs and spent her first week in the Neonatal intensive care unit at St. Peter's Hospital in Chertsey.
During this time we were overwhelmed by the 24 hour care she received by the amazing staff and wanted to give something back for their dedication and help that we encountered during Florence's early days.
This page has been set up as a way of marking a baptism that we thought would never happen and would appreciate all donations that people could make no matter how small.
We are so grateful to all of your support through both a difficult and ultimately special time in our lives.
Many thanks
Mark & Anne- Louise.
