Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Lee Tait and James Barron are attempting to complete the 42 peaks challenge around the Lake District, also known as the 'Bob Graham round'.
The challenge covers a total distance of 72 miles and a height gain which is equivalent to the size of Mount Everest (28500ft).
We do not know how long it will take us to complete the challenge, some fell runners can complete the course in 24 hours, but James and I are NOT fell runners and we will be practically unsupported (volunteers welcome for water supplies!!) and carrying a lot of our own kit, so we know that it WILL take us longer than a day.
We aim to complete this in the last weekend of August 2009 ( exact dates will be weather dependant)
James and I are both ex forces and fit and active people, so we know how hard it must be for current serving soldiers to come back from current conflicts with life changing injuries which will affect them for the rest of their lives.
Help us to make their lifes as ACTIVE and as EASY as possible, we OWE them that much.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Help for Heroes gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
