Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

I am running the London Marathon in 2010 (previously 26 April 2009 but I had to withdraw for 2009 and my place was carried over to this year) and need your help in raising money for a fantastic charity called Shaw Trust.  It may not be as well known as some of the others but I hope you will share my enthusiasm in trying to help this charity.

Shaw Trust is about helping those who are in some way less fortunate than ourselves either because of disability, mental health or drug/aclohol abuse.  It provides support and work opportunities to people who hit rock bottom and in so doing, gives them a chance to gain independence and feel part of society again. 

To give you a sense of just how much the Shaw Trust can achieve, this is what someone who has received help from them has said:

"It has given me back my life and sanity and enabled me to perform normal functions". 

Please help the Shaw Trust in continuing its good work and sponsor me and I will run and run and run and run ...... until I cross that finish line !
