Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I'm hoping to raise money for a local charity that is working to transform the quality of life of orphans in developing countries who are disabled, or suffering from a life threatening illness. In many cases a relatively small amount can make a huge difference to their lives. For more detail see: http://www.frodokids.org/
I've now completed the London Triathlon, on 10th August - 1500m swim, 40km bike, 10km run and also the London Duathlon on 14th September - 10km run, 20km bike, 5km run - see separate page - http://www.justgiving.com/stmargaretsforfrodo
I'd barely swum in the last two years and got on my bike for the first time in 2 years a couple of weeks before the triathlon, so was hardly feeling supremely confident in all of this.... For my first Olympic triathlon though I achieved my goal of sub 3 hours (2 hours and 52 minutes). I was feeling very happy with that until I found out that my younger brother managed 2 hours and 47 minutes... On the duathlon I was looking for sub 2 hours and again just got in there, with 1hr 55.05. So that's my season done, though toying with the idea of the Cabbage Patch 10 miler (surely a monathlon....)
