Music has great healing powers.  The 24 hour Marathon will draw communities together through music to raise money for a brilliant charity which provides support and healing to anyone with life-threatening diseases at a very frightening time in their lives.

All ages of the communities of Orwell, Barrington and beyond will be raising money by sharing the joy and power of music in concerts and informal music-making.  The schools will set the clock ticking at 2pm on Friday 23 June in Orwell, Cambridgeshire, and the music will continue in many different styles and formats -  choirs, jazz, classical, Guides, chamber music, organ, church bells and much more.  The event will end with a choral celebration at lunchtime on Saturday 24 June in All Saints, Barrington.  More information available at our Facebook page:   https://www.facebook.com/24-Hour-Music-Marathon-138747049948124/?fref=ts

The Cambridge Cancer Help Centre supports patients and their carers and families with counselling, alternative therapies, advice on all aspects of coping with a disease, Macmillan workshops,  a library, support groups for specific cancers, and above all, love and friendship with others who understand.
