A charity ourselves (Reg. number 286186), Dereham Young Farmers' Club (YFC) boasts a long history of fundraising for Norfolk based charities, and annually selects a charity of choice to support for 12 months.
This years' chosen charity is The Norfolk Hospice, Tapping House (The Hospice) - particularly close to the club Chairlady's heart, alongside presently supporting a past member and a friend of another's locally.
The Hospice provides key palliative care, support and transport for those in need, and having recently opened their new centre in Hillington, Kings Lynn, will be able to provide further services to patients and their families across West Norfolk.
So far this year we are proud to have raised ~£300.00 from carol singing and a further 300.00 from our annual dinner dance, which will go towards our fundraising total for The Hospice, and hope to also raise in the region of £1,000.00 for the Tractor Road Run (TRR) to add to this total.
In order to complete the TRR, Dereham YFC members will be travelling over 200 miles around Norfolk over two days, visiting the 27 Senior YFC and Junior Countrysider clubs in the County on route - all from the cabs of our members tractors and machinery.
The TRR is open to members of the public with agricultural vehicles - exhibition forms, a full route (including stops) and further details are available here,
