Story
Thank you for supporting my fundraising. I'm taking part in the Northumberland Macmillan Mighty Hike in memory of my husband, Robin, who died of cancer in January 2020. Robin was ill for 12 months before he died and during that time he received excellent advice, help and support from a team of Macmillan nurses who helped him to manage his illness and his treatment in his own way, which enabled him to live his life fully at home for as long as was possible. Because Robin was so well looked after I was supported too. Now I want to give something back to Macmillan.
Robin and I enjoyed walking and we have hiked many miles together in the UK and abroad, including in Northumberland. Robin would have loved to take part in this hiking challenge and I can think of no better way to both remember him and raise some money for a wonderful charity.
