Story
I've always said that I would run a marathon and if I did it would only be once so it would have to be London!
I love running but a marathon is quite a challenge and a big step up from the halfs I have completed. I have been lucky enough to get a ballot place so have no pressure to raise huge amounts of money. However I decided that as this really is a once in a lifetime opportunity it would be silly not to try and fundraise for a worthwhile charity. It will also give a purpose to my run and make all the early morning, muddy, rainy, windy and long runs worthwhile.
I have chosen to support the NSPCC. The NSPCC is the leading children's charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. They help children who have been abused to rebuild their lives, protect those at risk, and find the best ways of preventing abuse from ever happening. Every child deserves the best possible chance to rebuild their life after abuse That’s why the NSPCC are here. That's what drives all there work. And that’s why – as long as there’s abuse – they will fight for every childhood.
My sister-in-law also works for this charity knows first hand how much they really will appreciate the support and the difference it can make to a child's life.
If you would like to make a donation I would be very grateful! Thank you x
