Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hi Everyone Thank you so much for visiting my page really means a lot. My name is Lisa and i am 24 years old I have Ushers which is a form of Deaf blindness i have lost my side vision and have night blindness. This year i will be getting a Dual Guide Dog which is a hearing and guide dog put into one amazing dog. I really cant wait to meet him/her. I lost a lot of confidence when i was diagnosed with Ushers i didn't go out much, now i have decided i am not going let my Ushers bring me down I will go out there and see the world and live my life to the fullest,, of course helping people in the process while i can. People who tell me i cant do things i will stand on top of the Grand Canyon and i will put the biggest smile i can and wave saying guess what I CAN & I WILL.

On March 5th 2016 i will be doing the Grand Canyon Trek it will be a massive challenge especially with my no side vision and night blindness with my ushers put that with narrow edges with big drops what a scary fun thought :D But i am determined to do it.

The reason i have picked Guide Dogs is that they have helped me so much and have helped me build my confidence up again. They will be providing me with a Dual Guide Dog which will change my life completely for the best. They have helped me so much and i feel i have to do something to show them how much they have helped. I would like to raise much needed funds and awareness so more amazing dogs can be trained to help more amazing people can have their live change for the better.

Anything you could give would be very greatly received i am not asking for much even £2 would go far it really would. i will be creating other fund-raising events throughout the year to raise more and of course awareness.

Who doesn't love cute amazing dogs :D

As i said this will be a massive challenge and it will be a LOT of training and fund-raising a lot of work and i cant wait. i have only got a year to do this so no pressure then :D it will be so worth it when i raise the money for guide dogs, to know someone else is getting help support they need, and standing on top of the Grand Canyon knowing i did it.

Thank you so much for reading my story and for all your love and support you don't realise how much it mean to me. I really cant thank you enough

THANK YOU

LOVE YOU

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
