Archie is a young man who has recently finished Foxes Academy and now lives with 2 of his college friends in Portishead. Archie is 23, energetic and always up for some fun. Archie is currently working as a kitchen assistant at The University of the West of England and is also  volunteering at a charity shop.

Archie has downs syndrome,  however, he is not letting this stand in his way of achieving this massive and life changing goal. Archie is planning to run the Bristol 10k on May 7th, to raise money for the charity that supports Archie, to achieve his life goals, the Brandon Trust. All the money that Archie will raise is going towards helping Brandon Trust Camp of Dreams. In doing so Archie is becoming a DREAM MAKER. Archie is learning and understanding more and more about eating healthier, and is also understanding and enjoying exercise.

Another DREAM MAKER running the run with Archie is Steve. 'Hi, my name is Steve and this is my first ever long run. I have been in a place where I could do an event such as this before. I have had many troubled times in my life, always moving around, for example in the last couple of years I have moved 8 times! 6 months ago I moved into my own place for the first time, and slowly i am turning my life around. I have managed to make such great changes in my life because of the support i have had from many people including my family, but especially with the support of the Brandon Trust. I feel more confident in myself, and i am happier now. This run just isn't about doing the run, to me its is about seeing a major challenge and after many years being able to reach the finishing line.

Brandon Trust Camp of Dreams, is a summer camp like no other. The camp is about delivering dreams for young adults who also like Archie have learning disabilities. On the Camp the young adults who are aged from 13-19 get to experience new activities and adventures, that is not easy for young adults with learning disabilities to experience. The summer camp is under real threat of not running, due to all the cuts that have happened in social care over the past few years.

Archie and Steve are real inspiration, and proof that if you are determined and believe in yourself that anything is possible.
