Our baby Nilan is 12 months old now and was diagnosed with plagiocephaly (a condition of head deformity) at a severe stage recently. He was born with the help of forceps after a prolonged labour and that caused the deformity of his head. He also used to sleep on one side when he was very young. We had noticed that it was becoming bad when he was 5 months old but was told by doctors that it would get better on its own if we try different sleeping positions and tummy time. But as time went by we realised its not getting any better and decided to get on with the Timband helmet for babies with head deformity. 

The helmets are very expensive and currently not available via the NHS. We struggled and managed to pay the deposit but have to pay the rest. Please help us raise the money for Nilan. 

7.5% of all donations to Tree of Hope in relation to this appeal will be allocated to the general charitable purposes of Tree of Hope to cover our core operating costs. 

If we raise insufficient funds, or surplus funds, then the funds will be used, if appropriate, to fund support for our child’s needs in accordance with Tree of Hope’s charitable objects.  If in those circumstances we are unable to use all or part of the funds for the benefit of our child in accordance with Tree of Hope’s charitable objects, then any funds that cannot be used will be transferred to be used for the general charitable purposes of Tree of Hope.
