Cancer touches all of us in one way or another, it is something we have very little control over but we all see the impact. It is something that is important to me, so to show my support and do 'my bit' I am running the David Goggins 4x4x48.  Its a 4mile run, every 4hours for 48hrs.  Totaling 48miles over the 2 days. 

I will also be including two additional layers by attempting to complete the challenge without sleep and also carrying a 23kg (50lb) rucksack

When someone I knew, Pete, told me that his lung cancer had returned and the outlook was a tough road ahead it inspired me to think "What can I do?" It motivated me to push myself, keep fit and healthy, challenge what I considered to be possible and this is the result. Pete had mentioned how amazing the MacMillan Primrose Unit in Bedford had been to support him and his family so I thought what could possibly be a better cause but this. The Primrose Unit in Bedford do so much in our local area to support lots of families going through very difficult situations so any money raised will be going to a worthwhile cause.
