Benji's Welsh 3000 Challenge · 4 January 2022

There are 14.7million people – that’s more than one in six – in the UK living with a neurological condition. Here at the country's leading neurological centre, we’re passionate about supporting the hospital to help improve the lives of patients through treatment and research.

Story

My name is Benji and I am a ten year old Cub Scout.

My teacher, Mrs Walker, sadly stepped down from teaching at Christmas 2021, but she is very special, and has helped me a lot the last year and a half.

I sometimes struggle to hear and sometimes struggle to write down what I want to say, but Mrs Walker has been amazing and helped me make some epic progress during an exceptionally difficult time with Covid.

Mrs Walker had a brain tumour a few years ago so I want to raise lots of money to the charity which helped and supported her as a thank you for all she has done to help me.

This summer I am taking on an epic challenge!

I am planning to complete the Welsh 3000's - 15 peaks (Sometimes counted as 16) across Snowdonia, all over 3000 feet in height!

I will hopefully be joined on my adventure by some Scouting family from my own District as well as South London Scouts.

Please support my adventure by donating via this page for The National Brain Appeal.

Without The National Brain Appeal we wouldn't have Mrs Walker and without Mrs Walker I wouldn't be where I am today with my school work :-).

Updates will be shared via my FaceBook page :-)
