Hello! Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This Spring I will be volunteering with Raleigh International on an International Citizen Service placement in Nepal. During my time there I will be living with a Nepalese Host family, eating a lot of lentils and potatoes (and not the long, thin, fried variety), and, most importantly helping - alongside other youth volunteers - to make a lasting difference in the community.

ICS works with communities that have specifically requested their help, and projects can focus on anything from improving water sanitation and hygiene, to building projects related to local schools, libraries and medical centres, to helping deliver jobs, skills, and businesses for young people and women. The exact details of this particular placement won't be known until we get out there and see what help is most needed.

As part of my placement, I have been tasked with raising a minimum of £800. The money raised will go towards enabling the overall costs of ICS, ensuring they can continue to send youth volunteers to the developing world to make a lasting difference in disadvantaged communities.
