We Unite Disabled & Non-Disabled People to Achieve An Equal, Inclusive Society

Story

On October 3rd Jus and I will be running the London Marathon. I'm ridiculously excited about taking part in an event I have watched for years and thought was something I would never be capable of doing. I'm really not made for endurance sports and yet find myself at the end of training for the third time,  we started training in Autumn 2019!! Joyfully we are nearly at the start line.

Our daughter Scarlett was born with a unique chromosomal rearrangement and she brings us much joy. Life is never dull with Scarlett around. Through her we have come into contact with some wonderful charitable organisations and they have helped us as a family in a variety of ways. Local charities such as RDA Stratford,  Dogs for Good, Time Out Group in Stratford and New Hope, Worcester make Scarlett's life richer, more inclusive and mean that she has the opportunity to have new experiences and great fun with friends.

To run the London Marathon, fund raise together and highlight such an important charity as Phabkids would be a special way for us to say thank you for the support so many children and families like ours receive.

Phab promotes the coming together on equal terms of disabled and non-disabled people to make more of life together through their exciting and challenging holiday projects for disabled, disadvantaged children, young people and 150 local Phab Clubs across England and Wales with 8,000 members.

Thank you for supporting us, Phab and Phabkids - it makes such a difference and your donations are hugely appreciated.

Wish us luck and happy training runs,

Boo x
