Kilimanjaro Climb

Kilimanjaro Climb · 4 June 2018
Hello
As a mother, I have been touched by the extraordinary excellence of Great Ormond Street Hospital to transform the health and wellbeing of children and young people, giving them the best chance to fulfil their potential.
The hospital is a unique place where very special staff work together to change outcomes for the patients and families of those who go there. For any child with a rare or complex condition, Great Ormond Street Hospital provides the care, the pioneering treatments and the vital research to make a difference. It's second to none.
But the hospital needs to raise money to continue its innovative research, for advanced medical equipment, patient and family support, maintaining and refurbishing its buildings and simply its running costs.
Because fund raising is personal, as recognition of the difference that Great Ormond Street Hospital has made to our family, at the start of June, I will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro alongside Tom, my middle son (he's raising money for Mvumi School Trust www.justgiving.com/fundraising/tom-loup ).
Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and the highest freestanding mountain on Earth, with less than 50% of climbers making it to the top each year. We're planning for success and I've been climbing many hills and escalators recently!
