Believe it or not, this year marks 10 years since my dad sadly passed away. Never one for a sob story, I would like to combine my new (love/hate) relationship with running and raising a bit of cash in my dad's name for Hospice at Home West Cumbria. This is a charity that supported us at the end of my dad's journey and beyond and have been supporting families like ours for 30 years now! If that's isn't worth a pound or 2 I don't know what is! The nurses who came to our house, meant that after a 2 year fight my dad could be care for at home, in his own bed surrounded by all his family, and that really is something not to be taken for granted.

The Great North Run is no east task, and I hope you're support will really boost my training in order for me to complete the course will both my legs still functioning at the end. 

Any comments, pictures or favourite stories you guys would like to share about my dad would be a wonderful addition as well!
