We fund research, provide support, campaign to bring more than hope to those affected.

Story

Sadly in November last year pancreatic cancer took the life of Dame Clare Marx who amongst her many achievements plumbed me in 2 new hips 12 years ago.

On the 5/6th of August I plan to cycle from Ipswich hospital to the Royal College of Surgeons, London 😵😵to raise some 💷💷 for Pancreatic Cancer UK which was Clare’s nominated charity before she passed away.

I am hoping to recruit some fellow 🚴🏽‍♂️🚴🏻‍♀️ to join me in my travels so I have come up with 3 options 😳😳, 1 (this is for the racing snakes ) get up at crack of sparrows on the 6th and blast it to the velodrome at Stratford, 2 (my option) cycle to Romford on the 5th, kip in a church hall then after a full English en route 😜😜peddle to Stratford on the 6th , 3 bring your bike to the velodrome. At around midday on the 6th everyone cycles to the Royal college and after a few formalities and loadza pikkys cycle back to Stratford for transport to Ipswich for bikes and bodies. Easy or what 🤣🤣🤣.

The RCS are fully behind this and their President and Chief Exec have asked to be kept informed so things are looking good.

Corinne and Tim Rousham have kindly offered to be the support crew for the 2nd option bless ‘em but it’s cost me a 🍕🍕🍕or 2 when we get to Romford !!!! I’ve got a meeting next week regarding a van to get the bikes home but I can’t do much about transport for the bodies until I know numbers.

Anyone interested please give me a shout/bell or clip me round the ear if you see me at the hospital. wandywhite216@aol.com , 07854876722 , 01473 830135. Hospital equipment team ext 5324.

Many thanks,

Andy.

It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.
