Story
Welcome to my fundraising page for CoppaFeel!
This November the 12th-20th, I will set out on a very challenging and life-changing trek, all in the name of checking boobs! I am taking on 100km of Morocco's Sahara desert - trekking through Africa’s peaks, gorges, dunes and oases all to raise vital funds towards CoppaFeel’s life-saving mission.
This is a HUGE personal challenge for me mentally and physically - I need all the support, donations and love I can get!
CoppaFeel are a charity on a mission to stamp out the late diagnosis of breast cancer by making sure that young people are regularly checking their boobs and getting to know their bodies in order to have the confidence to see their GP if something just doesn't feel normal.
Personally, I checked my boobs properly last year after reading CoppaFeel’s founder Kris Hallenga’s book ‘glittering a turd’ Kris was diagnosed with cancer at just 23 years old. Luckily for me my lump was nothing to worry about but it shows how important it is to regularly check yourself and to flag it if you’re worried about anything. For others I know this wasn’t the case but if caught early you have the best chance of survival.
This charity is close to my heart in many ways and I know a lot of others too. We all know someone affected by breast cancer.
Thanks so much for your donations & support, I really appreciate it.
