Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Darren and Nathan are both season ticket holders at Bristol Rovers and see and experience first-hand the excellent work which the Community Trust carries out throughout the local community whilst relying on grants and sponsorship.

Bristol Rovers Community Trust works with a wide spectrum of the community offering social inclusion, health, education and sports participation projects to give people the opportunity of enhancing and improving their life choices. With the aim of engaging and inspiring people of all ages as well as uniting the communities in which they live, this is an opportunity to show that the supporters of the club value the work of the community trust go through.

Darren, an ex-Grenadier Guardsman spent a lot of time in the Brecon Beacons on training exercises so Trekfest was a natural, challenging opportunity to raise money and spread the news of the work which the Community Trust are carrying out. Nathan worked within the Community Trust for a number of years before moving to pursue a career with the Ministry of Defence so did not take a lot of persuasion that this was a more than worthwhile event to be involved in.

The aim of Trekfest is to complete 50km route across the Brecon Beacons mountain ranges include Pen Y Fan – the highest peak in southern Britain.

Any donations would be greatly received to enable the fantastic work which the Bristol Rovers Community Trust does continues!
