On 30th May this year, along with Phil Smith & Howard Cooke, I will set off on a 4 day, 235 mile cycle ride to visit my daughter Nathalie who is at university in Plymouth.  The idea came from a frank discussion we had together last summer when she expressed her concerns about my weight and lack of fitness, and suggested finding an activity that would turn-around my inactive lifestyle.  When she laughed at the idea of me on a bicycle, the challenge of riding to visit her over 200 miles away was born....Fortunately I do not have to do this alone, as Phil & Howard were keen to join in once they heard what I had promised to do! 

In addition to achieving this goal, we would also like to raise money for a very worthwhile cause.  Phil & I are supporting Molly Olly's Wishes which is a Warwickshire-based charity set up in memory of a young relative (Molly Ollerenshaw) of one of our closest friends from school.  The charity supports children with terminal or life threatening illnesses and their families, to help with their emotional well being.
