As we are well aware, a great personality of the Keighley community, and a selfless individual who worked tirelessly to help anyone in need, former Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Abid Hussain Passed away on the 24th of December 2020. 

As a personal life long goal, Councillor Abid Hussain worked not only in the UK, but internationally with several charities, to fundraise and help people devasted by natural events, and those who were in extreme poverty. Councillor Hussain worked with any individual whose aim was to promote the betterment of quality of life, and strengthen community cohesion and spirit.

There are too many charities and achievements to list the role and positive impacts the Councillor had in bringing success to those organisations, but tributes have, and are still, pouring from all over the world highlighting how much a devoted individual he was, not only to his religion, but to humanity in general. His sudden passing is without doubt a huge loss too many many people's lives and to the whole of the Bradford District, for whom he will be greatly missed. 

In honour of his memory we will be digging a deep well water borehole in rural Malawi with Green Crescent Aid UK, to provide access to clean drinking water for rural villagers. 

Malawi has a high rate of water-borne diseases. Villagers often travel miles in the heat to access water, which isn't always clean.

For just £2,000, we will be providing the gift of water on behalf of Councillor Hussain to the poor villagers in Malawi. These deep dug water boreholes are dug 60-65m deep and can last up to 20 years and are sufficient to provide a full village with clean water 💧❤️.
