Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

It means the world to me and our team that you are supporting us and the Cure Gm1 Foundation. My little girl Florence has late infantile Gm1. It is a rare, life limiting and regressive condition. Florence is now nearly 6 and was diagnosed just over three years ago. She has already lost the ability to walk and talk. We’ve been told she won’t live past her tenth birthday.

But there is hope. The incredible cure Gm1 foundation is funding research and multiple clinical trials to help children like Florence. The non-profit organisation was founded by parents of children who suffer from GM1 who seek to save the lives of all those who suffer from this heartbreaking condition.

Currently there is one clinical trial that has already started and multiple trials due to start this year. It’s a complicated condition and needs as many shots at clinical trials as possible. Clinical trials are lengthy extremely expensive. But we as families will not give up hoping and praying that one day there will be an effective cure for Gm1.

These children do not have time. Gm1 is always fatal. With your help we can hope to change that.

Me and a team of three friends are flying off the side of a quarry on in Wales on the 15th March!  We will be doing velocity 2 where we will reach speeds of 80mph!

Two of the brave. souls are the amazing Scott and James from the breakfast show at Tameside Radio. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for joining me and my daredevil friend Massimo. To raise money and much needed awareness for this incredible cause.
