Story

On Saturday 10th February 2019, three months after his 60th birthday, my Uncle was half way through a spin class when his heart stopped beating after suffering a heart attack. His heart stopped for 8 minutes. He was resuscitated by the doctor at Wycombe Rye Lido Gym and kept alive by the Thames Valley Air Ambulance. They rushed him to Harefield Hospital for major heart surgery, which was successfully performed by their wonderful team of surgeons and nurses.

18 hours and 7 stents later, he is awake and asking for a banana.

He would not be with us today if it were not for the Thames Valley Air Ambulance, Harefield Hospital and the team at Wycombe Rye Lido Gym.

Please donate, if only to show your support for the NHS !

Note - I will be running my first half marathon on the 17th February,
