The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!

In the last year my dad has been fortunate enough to avoid permanent vision loss after successful surgery in both his eyes to treat glaucoma, but many people are not so lucky. Working as a vet, I've witnessed first hand what a difference Guide Dogs make to the lives of my visually impaired clients, giving them a freedom and independence that they otherwise would not have, as well as enriching their lives with canine companionship.

I've been running for a few years, and having watched the London Marathon since I was a kid, I decided it was time to join the thousands of people running it to give something back to a good cause! By raising money for Guide Dogs, I hope to help those people less fortunate than my dad to receive the lifeline that a Guide Dog offers them.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Thank you so much for supporting me to raise money for this fantastic charity!
