Story
As most of you are aware, in 2014, my big brother was diagnosed with stage 3 bowel cancer at the age of 24. From diagnosis to his passing was 6 months. Watching someone you love so much, have their life snatched away, is something I cannot simply explain. I sat with him as he took his last breathes, just as he had as I took my first breathes. Losing my brother was like losing my past, my present and my future.
He left behind a 1 year old son (Riley, now 6). Riley calls his daddy his "Space man in the sky". He knows that daddy lives up in heaven....and says he wishes how a shooting star could bring him back. We as a family try our best to keep his daddy's memory alive. He is still too young to fully understand why his daddy is in heaven but he knows he was poory and that the doctors were not able to make him better.
He left a massive hole in our lives and of all those who knew him. I still have moments now that I say to myself "I need to tell Nath that" and then it hits...all over again. I don't my soul will except it.
In 2016 I raised £700 for the Prospect Hospice by sky diving 10,000 ft in the air! Nath spent alot of time at the hospital in Wroughton and the team there were second to none. Now the fundraising shoes are back on....literally!
Me, Lauren and Ben will be taking part in the 50km Trekfest on August 31st to raise money for our chosen charities.
Any donation, big or small would be so greatly appreciated.
