Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
The photo above was taken on a woodland walk with our family during lockdown. We are sure that all of us have benefited from, enjoyed and hopefully learned to appreciate even more so nature in 2020.
In the lead up to this Christmas, following the strangest of years, we are asking our followers at Plastic Free Home to help us plant trees right here in the UK.
As you are sat enjoying your Christmas tree this year, you could have a smile on your face knowing that you have helped to plant trees allowing hundreds of animals, birds and insects to do the same.
A donation of just £10 can pay for the Woodland Trust to plant 7 trees. Our target of £100 could fund an entire copse.
Just 13% of the UK is covered in woods and forests and we need to change that. Trees store CO2, they are the lungs of our planet and they provide essential habitats for wildlife.
Last year we interviewed someone at the Woodland Trust on the crucial role of trees. You can read that article on our website.
Whatever amount you are able to give – thank you in advance for supporting our appeal. We wish you and your loved ones a safe and happy Christmas when it comes and have our fingers and toes crossed for a more normal year at some stage in 2021.
