We promote positive mental health for all to reduce stigma and support recovery

Story

We are very happy to announce a project that we have been working on in the background for awhile now. As we approach one year since the events industry came to a halt and all shows were cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we wanted to create a virtual gathering in and have decided to host a 12 Hour Live Stream on St. Patrick’s Day (March 17th) with an all Irish techno line up to help raise awareness and much needed funds for mental health services in Ireland. It’s been one of the most challenging years for us all and we feel it is important now more than ever to promote mental positivity and shine a light on the subject which often doesn’t get the attention or support it should.

Our chosen charity is Mental Health Ireland who are the longest established mental health charity in Ireland and have played a key role in reshaping how the public understand mental health issues. Since 1966, they have been front and centre in promoting positive mental health, supporting people with lived experience of mental health challenges in their recovery and bringing practical expression to national policy objectives.

Since our launch in late 2017, our main vision and goal has been to create a platform to promote Irish artists and support the local scene above booking big international names and to stay within our roots we have curated a mixed line up featuring a selection of artists who have previously played for the collective and contributed to the platform, those that were booked to play at upcoming shows pre pandemic and a selection of new faces and longtime friends of Prospekt including:

Jamie Behan,

Sam Greenwood,

AeronXTC

The stream will be available to watch from the comfort of your own home through the Facebook Live / YouTube platforms and all artists involved will be playing from their home studios in Ireland and Berlin from 1PM-1AM (GMT)  to coincide with current government guidelines and restrictions.

We have set up a fundraising campaign on Just Giving where all donations will go directly to Mental Health Ireland and will not be handled by ourselves personally. All support is very much appreciated and if you wish to donate the price of a drink or whatever you can afford, you do so through the following link: www.justgiving.com/fundraising/prospekt
