Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
This year, I will be challenging myself to run 53 miles starting in Chichester along the South Downs and finishing in Winchester to complete the Race to the King. Why do so you may ask...well this is my small contribution to two amazing charities (Myeloma UK & Brain Tumour Research) who need as much financial support as possible to enable them to carry out the great work they do.
Myeloma UK is a charity close to my heart as they have provided my mother in law Carol with a lot of support over the past few years. Unfortunately due to recent government cuts they have been hit hard and the money raised will help support families affected by this illness and support clinical research.
Brain Tumour Research is a charity I am keen to support due to them being a key partner of Plymouth University. Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40, around 16,000 people a year in the UK are diagnosed. The funds raised will support their local research and help fund Phd Students on campus. So whichever charity you select to give money to, this is greatly appreciated and will make a massive difference.
