Story

Ryan is running Bournemouth Marathon.

Ryan is running Bournemouth Marathon.

Ryan is running Bournemouth Marathon.

So up until March 2017 the furthest I'd ever run was 8 miles, but I got roped into doing some training runs with Paul in his preparation for London Marathon. This took me from struggling to push 6 miles up to 17.2 miles via 13 and 15.5. So now I've decided to go the whole hog and run Bournemouth Marathon in October in aid of the MND Association.

Why the MND Association?

Motor-Neurone Disease is one of the most horrific despicable diseases on this planet. It takes the most active and energetic people out of action, often in a matter of months. This vile disease has is all to familiar to my family with both sides of the family having to endure its torment over the past twelve months.

My aunt, Vicky, an MND sufferer, is currently fighting with all her grit and determination to stay independent and mobile.

My uncle Mick, lost his fight with this disease last year leaving behind his wife and daughter in November, but hanging in there long enough to see his daughter open open presents on her birthday.

I have three months of training ahead of me so anyone that fancies doing some training runs with me the long ones will be Sunday's!

But above all, your donations will go directly to the MND Association and help battle this disease.
