Many of us have already shown incredible kindness and understanding to our neighbours.

Now we ask you to reach out to our neighbours both near and far by supporting us this Christian Aid Week, you can reach out and protect more of your neighbours today

As the pandemic spreads now into the Global South, we urgently need funds to secure the work rapidly being stepped up by our colleagues across the world to support marginalised groups living In poverty throughout this COVID-19 crisis.

People in less economically developed areas will sadly benefit form none of the safety nets we’ve seen put in place in the UK>

• 40% of the world’s population do not have access to soap and water in the home –making regular hand washing very difficult.
• You can’t practice physical distancing in a crowded refugee camp, slum or shanty town
• It is impossible to self-isolate if your entire family live in a single room
• Half of the world’s 7.6 billion people cannot access essential healthcare
• Many countries lack ventilators or ICU beds

If we fail to stop the pandemic everywhere in the world, then there is a real risk it will return again.
