Story
Year on year I look to raise money for what I believe are worthwhile causes, some have affected me directly, some haven’t. Regardless of the cause, each year I try to raise both money and awareness for charities I feel are currently doing great things and ones I feel I very much want to contribute towards.
This year choosing Make a Wish Foundation is no different!
I’ve been fortunate enough to have an amazing upbringing and to experience some amazing things in my life. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for everyone, in particular young children who may be fighting life threatening illnesses and conditions.
To try and raise as much awareness and money for this great cause as possible I’ve decided to take on my own iron man triathlon, with a little more iron!
On the 4th October I’ll be starting my event with a 3 mile pool swim in Huddersfield, this will be followed by a 200+ mile cycle to London through the day and night before completing Ultra London starting at 7am on 5th October, a 33 mile ultra marathon around the capital!
As always, there is no donation too small, each and every one is very much appreciated!
I’ll be documenting all my training leading up to the event along with a host of other content so please make sure you follow me on my social media channels to keep up to date with what’s happening!!

Make-A-Wish UK grant magical wishes to enrich the lives of children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions. Granting their wish provides seriously ill children with hope for the future, strength to cope and resilience to fight their condition. They’re given quality time away from the daily realities of living with their condition and given the chance to make magical memories they can treasure forever – whatever their future may hold. We want to transform the lives of 1,000 children this year by granting their One True Wish!
