Story
I still remember the first patient with Leukaemia I looked after and the nickname “Tiff Tiff” that he gave me. I remember providing the family with the advice and support they needed at the start of their journey.
At Christmas I saw the mum of a boy with Leukaemia who I cared for over 10 years ago. He is grown up now and I have such fond memories of caring for him. His strength and determination constantly inspired me.
Each and every child I have ever cared for will always hold a special place in my heart. I am running for those children and for the children who are no longer with us. I will be thinking of them every step of the way.
Leukaemia Care is a national charity dedicated to ensuring that anyone affected by blood cancer receives the right information, advice and support. Around 34,000 people are affected by blood cancer each year in the UK and we're here to support them through their diagnosis, treatment and beyond.
