Story
As a family we've always gone walking, and just recently, events have meant that we've been exploring our local footpaths more than ever. Ten and twelve mile walks at weekends gave us the idea of working up to walking the distance of a marathon race (42.195 km or 26 miles 385 yards).
Then we thought "Why don't we use this as an opportunity to raise awareness of Children on the Edge?" They're a Chichester-based charity that help disadvantaged children round the world, working with local communities to give them a full childhood. They're very effective in helping communities help themselves.
We expect to walk our marathon towards the end of June, weather permitting, but will keep you posted. We'll plan our route using less popular paths so its easy to socially distance from anyone we meet
